National Institute of Justice Awards First Place Win to Ammon!
NIJ Ultra-High Speed Apps Challenge Winners Announced and Databuoy’s implementation won the top prize! Databuoy was recognized as a key partner in the FIRST PLACE win for the City of Ammon’s School Emergency Screencast system in the National Institute of Justice competition for the best Ultra-High Speed Apps: Using Current Technology to Improve Criminal Justice Operations Challenge. The application uses existing camera systems and Databuoy’s ShotPoint gunshot detection system to provide live video feed to first responders in the event of an active shooter situation. The system provides a more rapid, effective, and coordinated response. The City of Ammon was awarded $75,000.
